If you choose a refund, Volvo will reimburse you all monies you spent on your Volvo including your monthly payments, down payment, pro-rated registration, taxes and fees, minus a usage fee. If you choose cash compensation, you will retain your current Volvo and receive cash compensation for its diminished value as a result of its defects.

The California lemon law does apply to used vehicles as long as you purchased the used vehicle with a warranty and the repairs took place during the warranty period.
