Stalling while driving poses an inherently grave safety risk that necessitates immediate attention and reparative work. A vehicle stalling while in operation is a substantial safety concern that not only endangers the passengers in the vehicle, but also all other drivers and passengers on the road.

How many vehicles are affected?

Approximately 150,000 2017 Chrysler Pacifica minivans are affected by the stalling defect. To date, there have been more than 100 documented consumer reports of the minivan stalling while traveling at various speeds and/or while at idle.

Over the past several years, the Chrysler Pacifica has been ranked one of the top three minivans in the United States by Consumer Reports making this vehicle a popular choice for consumers.

The loss of control of these vehicles makes them incredibly dangerous and may result in death, and/or substantial bodily injury. No fatalities or significant injures have been reported as of yet. However, consumer reports of this defect are increasing by the day.

Has a recall been issued yet for the Chrysler Pacifica?

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has not identified the source of the problem so they have not yet issued a recall. The Center for Auto Safety is urging the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to investigate this issue and issue a recall so as to remove these dangerous vehicles off the roads.
